The Buccaneers of Tampa Bay made a major announcement on Thursday, saying that they will reinstall the place of former head coach Jon Gruden in their ring of honor.
Gruden was deleted in 2021 after having resigned from his job as a head coach of the Las Vegas raiders after emails with a racist, homophobic and misogynist language were published in several reports.
Since then, Gruden’s only position in the League was as a consultant with the New Orleans. Then he became a member of the media, starting his own YouTube channel and recently joining Barstool Sports.

But the Buccaneers have changed hearts, and they published a statement on their decision.
“Jon Gruden was initially inducted into the Buccaneers honor ring according to his many achievements during his seven seasons as a head coach and he remains an important figure in the history of our franchise,” said the team’s declaration.
“After a more in -depth reflection, we decided to reintegrate it into the Buccaneers honor ring.”
The owner of the raiders, Mark Davis, says that the resignation of Jon Gruden presented the organization: `his head was cut ” ‘
The mandate of Gruden as a chief coach of Tampa Bay from 2000 to 2008 presented the first Vince Lombardi trophy of the organization for winning the Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003.
The Bucs went 57-55 in the regular season, as well as 3-2 in the playoffs, for seven seasons of Gruden with the team.

The owner of the Raiders, Mark Davis, recently commented on the resignation of Gruden in 2021, which put an end prematurely to his mandate with the club which had signed him with a massive 10 -year contract in 2018.
Davis said he thought that the Gruden’s departure had the organization back up.
“He was someone I brought and that I really expected to be this football person who would bring stability to the organization,” Davis told media members during the presentation of Pete Carroll as a chief coach of the raiders at the end of last month. “He had a 10 -year contract and all that – and his head was cut.”
Gruden, who continues the NFL, has disclosed his emails, who saw him use derogatory remarks addressed to the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, and to the executive director of the NFLPA, Smith Deurice, among others.
