Anthony Rendon played in 257 of the 708 possible games since the signing of his $ 245 million contract with Los Angeles Angels in 2019.
And it will take a while until he plays in his 258th.

Rendon, who will be 35 years old in June, is on the list of injured 12 times since 2021. He was on the list of injured three times in 2024 due to problems with his hamstrings, lower back and obliques while Striking .218 without a circuit and 14 years and 14 Rbis in 57 games.

The Angels paid the best dollar to return to the top of his career before the 2020 season, just over a month after hitting .319 with 34 circuits, a 1,010 OPS and a 126 MLB product points during the 2019 season. He played a major role in the Washington Nationals World Series race that year.
Since then, in the rare cases where he is on the ground, he has been a shell of himself. He has a less RBI, and a dozen home circuits in his five -year Angels mandate than during this 2019 season.
The Rendon contract expires after the 2026 season.

In the past two years only, Rendon said that baseball “had never been an absolute priority for me,” complained about the duration of the MLB season and volunteered that he was considering His retirement recently after the start of his major league career. Rendon failed to play 60 games in a season since he joined the Halos, with an average of 51 games played during this period. With the Nationals, he had an OPS from .859 and was on MVP ballots in five distinct seasons.
