Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffey managed to kiss him on the camera at WNBA All-Star Weekend, but barely.

Viral sequences of an interaction between the couple surfaced on Friday evening, when Clark approaches McCaffery in the ramparts of Gainbridge Field House. With cameras on them, McCaffery leaned to kiss Clark, but as he did, she turned her head.

McCaffery succeeded in a slight kiss, on the side of her hair, as she walked away. McCaffey then lowered his head.

The video caused mixed fans reactions, many expressing suspicions and others expressing mockery.

McCaffery is assistant male basketball coach at Butler University in Indiana. He has already made fun of social networks during a defeat against Austin Peay in November, when the broadcast of Fox College Hoops showed that Clark was seated in the stands.

The dissemination name card identified it as “Caitlin Clark 2024 WNBA recruit of the year”. Then, when the camera turned to McCaffery on the key, a name card identified it as “Connor McCaffey Wnba Roty Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend”.

But the broadcast even had to involve McCaffery’s little brother in the gadget.

After ignoring the title of McCaffery, his brother Patrick McCaffey, who is a player of the Butler team, was shown with a named card who said: “Patrick McCaffery Wnba Roty Caitlin Clark’s Boyfuil’s Brotled.”

Like Clark, Connor played basketball at Iowa University, where the couple met. He played 166 games at Iowa, all for his father, the former Hawkeyes head coach, Fran McCaffery.

Connor has treated injuries throughout the majority of his university career, but a year of Redshirt and a COVID-19 campaign allocated six seasons to him. He reached the NCAA tournament at each of his complete seasons, apart from his cocovio season. He collected an average of 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds, and played in 111 victories, equaling Jordan Bohannon for the most part in the history of the program. His assistance ratio in turn back in a career of 3.59 (527 assists at 147 reversals) is the second best in the history of the NCAA.

The couple began to go out together in April 2023 after Clark led Iowa during a race to the NCAA title. But McCaffery was a senior at the time, and he started his coach career just after graduating.

In May of the same year, he started his career as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers. McCaffrey ended up with an Indiana job before Clark even knows that she was going to play for Indiana fever. By destiny, the fever finished with a record sufficiently bad last season to win the first choice of the WNBA recovery lottery this year, which also sent Clark to Indiana.

Now, even with the new work of McCaffery, the butler campus would be only seven miles from the fever arena, Gainbridge Field House. Thus, their fate will remain together in Indianapolis for the moment.

Last August, during the WNBA Olympics, the couple made a trip to New York to watch a Yankees match. However, only Clark was seen on tour of the Yankees clubhouse, and only Clark took photos with the players Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo and Juan Soto.

Clark sent an Instagram Birthday post in honor of McCaffery last Sunday when she and the team faced the Dallas wings. Clark shared several shots from her and McCaffey on social networks that cause 27 years.

“Happy Happy Happy Birthday Con. You improve every day and I could not be more grateful. That it is the best year to date, I love you,” she wrote in the legend of the post.
