The capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) managed to turn off the fire that broke out near the Faisal mosque in the hills of Margalla on Monday afternoon.
ADC president Muhammad Ali Randhawa supervised fire fighting efforts, as his spokesperson confirmed. A coordinated response was made by officers of the Islamabad administration, the environmental wing of the CDA and various other departments.
More than 64 firefighters participated in the operation, the vehicles of the firefighters specially deployed to manage the fire. Thanks to the rapid action of the ADC, the fire was contained before being able to spread more.
Following the directives of President Randhawa, additional teams were created to improve surveillance and patrols in the hills of Margalla, guaranteeing a more efficient surveillance system.

On the other hand, a fire that started during boring water near Korangi Crossing on Saturday continued to burn even the second day.
The fire broke out when the workers were drilling a well for a tube at a depth of more than 1,100 feet. KMC firefighters, Humayun Khan, has confirmed that the intensity of the fire remains high, but experts think that it may have been shaking to go out when the shallow gas turns off.
