Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Saturday that Tony Hemming had given up his role as chief curator.
He assumed the position in July of last year. Hemming resigned after 13 months, despite having signed a two -year contract.
In particular, Western Australia joined the PCB after its contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expired.
Meanwhile, the sources said that Hemming had been in talks with the BCB to reaffirm the role.
During his passage as a chief commissioner of the PCB, Hemming prepared land for the matches of the world testing championship of Pakistan ICC against Bangladesh (two in August / September) and England (three in October) from last year.
Hemming also organized locations for the Male Champions Trophy of the CPI 2025, which was held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.
For UNIVERSED, Tony Hemming is a very respected curator with almost four decades of experience.
He worked in various fields of emblematic cricket in Australia, notably Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania, as well as in countries like Bangladesh, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, where he was chief curator from 2007 to 2017 in Dubai.
During his stay with the ICC, Hemming also supervised the preparation of Pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which was one of the Pakistan sites between 2009 and 2019.
It should be noted that Hemming had replaced Zahid, who began his career by joining the chairman of the PCB Conservative Committee in 2001.
Zahid was then appointed chief curator in 2004. He resigned from this role in 2020, but was renamed by the former president of the PCB, Ramiz Raja, in 2021.
