The chief of staff of the army (COAS) Asim Munir praised the role of the Pakistani media during the recent Pakistani-Indian conflict, calling it a source of pride and describing the response of the media to Indian points of sale as memorable, Express News reported.

Speaking informally to journalists during an event held in Islamabad for Mark Youm-e-Tashakur (The day of gratitude), Coas Munir said that the media had been a question of pride for the nation, stressing that nothing was hidden and that the complete truth was shared with the public.

He praised the exceptional role of the media throughout the conflict, claiming that the way in which the Pakistani media reacted to the Indian media were remarkable and responsible and expressed the pride of their performance.

Celebrating the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and Marka-E-Haq, General Munir also said that the whole nation was united to face the enemy.

During the conflict, several Indian media, fueled by a rhetoric based on war, of non -verified and false affirmations.

These include allegations of an Indian attack which destroyed the port of Karachi, plans to capture Islamabad and affirms that the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would go – all propagated by well -known Indian media and renowned journalists, but ultimately proven false.

On the other hand, the Pakistani media remained calm and showed a reservoir, mainly based on information from inter-service public relations and the information service during the dissemination.
