Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong called the marshal of the air chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu during an official visit to the air seat in Islamabad on Tuesday, the military’s media wing reported.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries embarked on a complete and in-depth discussion covering a wide range of subjects, in particular commitments to the business level, cooperation in defense and an evolving geostrategic environment of the region, according to inter-service public relations (ISPR).
Stressing the importance of cohesive and collaborative approaches to meet emerging challenges, they highlighted the need to maintain maximum operational preparation and ensure rapid coordination in the middle of the dominant regional security dynamics, according to the press release.
The head of air warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and reiterated that Pakistan and China enjoy historical and proven relationships rooted in mutual trust, strategic convergence and shared aspirations for regional peace and stability.
Referring to the sustainable bilateral relationship, he described Pakistan and China as “Iron brothers”, noting that their bond has not been stronger than during the decades and should deepen further by the cooperation and the partnership supported, he added.
The air personnel chief expressed his gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for his continuous support and his unwavering friendship. He also recognized the instrumental role of China in helping the modernization and technological progression of Pakistan, in particular in the fields of human resources development, technology transfer and collaborative research and development.
The two parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to institutionalize high -level regular exchanges, to expand joint operational exercises and to explore multilateral executives to strengthen collective responses to emerging threats, said the ISPR.
Ambassador Zaidong praised the unequaled operational excellence of the Pakistani Air Force staff during the recent dead end on the Eastern Front, describing it as a reflection of the high standards of the PAF and an unwavering commitment to national defense, he added.
He praised the professionalism of the PAF and its commendable use of the equipment and technology of Chinese origin to thwart hostile aggression.
The ambassador has also recognized the operational and strategic meaning of the PAF in the use of indigenous solutions and advanced systems to protect national interests under the visionary leadership of the marshal of the Air Chef Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
Reaffirming the lasting support of China, he provided complete technical assistance to Pakistan Air Force to further strengthen his air defense capacities, the statement said.
He also praised Pakistan’s commitment to self -sufficiency, noting that PAF’s investment in Aboriginal technological processes began to give promising results. He stressed that a continuous accent on local innovation would increase the country’s defense posture more, he added.
