The former New York Jets Center, Nick Mangold, put a New Jersey city on the explosion on weekends after the city officials did not observe the proclamation of President Donald Trump, ordering that the American flags on government buildings be piloted at a half-person in honor of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
But while Madison, the house of the former NFL star, has reported to the state, other neighboring cities decided to pay tribute to Kirk, which was murdered in Utah while he was speaking during an event on campus.
Florham Park and East Hanover, both in the county of Morris, and Summit in the county of Union observed the presidential proclamation which asked that the flag of the United States be transported by Wednesday September 10 to September 14.

In a statement to PK Press Club Digital, the mayor of Florham Park, Mark Taylor, described Kirk as a “large patriot” and said that the flags in the borough were staying in half of the staff on Tuesday.
“Yes, Florham Park listened to the order of the president and we always pilot the flags in half of the staff in honor of the great patriot, Charlie Kirk.”
East Hanover confirmed that the canton also acted “in accordance with proclamation”. The city of Summit told PK Press Club Digital that the flag had been managed at half of the staff at the town hall, the library and the community center until Sunday.
Trump’s proclamation occurred after Kirk, 31, was murdered on Wednesday during an event on campus at Utah Valley University. The married father of two children was struck by a single ball and then declared dead. Tyler Robinson, A 22 -year -old Utah resident was arrested as a suspect in murder.
The local and local authorities of New Jersey were criticized when Mangold led by a government building to Madison during the weekend and noted that the city had not observed the presidential proclamation.

Madison officials have published a statement responding to criticism, noting that the borough simply followed the status of daily state flag.
“During the weekend, we received questions about the lowering of the American flag in the arrondissement. Madison’s policy is to follow the state of the daily status of New Jersey, which can be found here,” the statement said. “During the weekend, the status was” the full staff “. States and premises governments are not legally required to comply with presidential proclamations. PK Press Club Digital contacted Murphy’s office to comment. The mayor of Morris Plains, Jason Karr, told PK Press Club Digital that the flags were not lowered to half of the staff in his arrondissement because he was not aware of the presidential proclamation.
He noted that even if the flag was lowered for September 11 Thursday, it was increased to the full staff the next day and throughout the weekend.
“Given the nature of the recent events, the arrondissement of the Plains de Morris did not receive the usual notification concerning the directive to reduce the American flag. At no time was there an intention of disrespect for the President of the United States or the Kirk family,” Karr said in a statement. “The tragic circumstances clearly justified the lowering of the flags, and the district would have taken immediate measures if a notification had been received or relayed to any person responsible for the district.
“I do not support or tolerate the measures taken against Charlie Kirk and do not offer my sincere condolences to Erika, to his children and to all his family during this difficult period. This unhappy surveillance should not be politicized. In times like these, it is important for us to go beyond the division. Meanwhile in Texas, Governor Greg Abbott ordered that all the buildings of the State government comply with the proclamation.
“Cecilia and I have the heart broken by the assassination and the passage of Charlie Kirk,” said Abbott. “Charlie’s voice was a tag for millions of young Americans looking for truth, courage and conviction. This insane act of violence has no place in America. Our prayers are with Charlie’s family and his loved ones, especially the two young children he leaves behind.
