The co-founder of WHO Pete Townshend made a shocking announcement that the son of the member of the Beatles Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey, does not leave the group.
Taking on the group’s official Instagram handle, Pete said that Zak remains with WHO, declaring: “News flash! Who supports Zak! He is not asked to withdraw from the WHO. ”
This comes after the information according to which Zak was withdrawn from the group after 29 years after a “collective decision” by the co-founders Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. The reason was reported due to Roger’s dissatisfaction with the Zak battery at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Now, Pete said that “there have been communication problems, personal and private on all sides, which were to be treated, and these were broadcast with happiness”.
“Roger and I would like Zak to tighten his latest evolved battery style to accommodate our non -orchestral range and he easily accepted.”
Taking responsibility for the “confusion” he added, “our TCT shows at the Royal Albert Hall were a bit delicate for me. I thought that four and a half weeks would be enough time to recover completely from a full knee replacement. (Why did I never think I could land on my knees?) Tru! ”
He admitted: “Perhaps we did not take enough time in sound checks, giving us problems on stage. The sound at the center of the stage is always the most difficult to work. Roger has done nothing wrong, but to play with his intra-ear monitors. Zak made some mistakes and he apologized. Although with a rubber duck drummer.”
“We are a family, it exploded very quickly and got too much oxygen. It’s over. We are now moving forward with optimism and fire in our belly. As for Roger, fans can enjoy his next solo shows with his fabulous drummer, Scott Devours, who, according to him, could replace Zak in the Who and has always supported the band. ”
“I owe Scott excuses not to crush this rumor before it spreads. He was injured by that. I promise to buy her a very long drink and hug him. Pete Townshend on April 19, 2025,” said Pete Townshend.
