Dera Ghazi Khan:
A clerk of the court of Dera Ghazi Khan was sentenced to death and sentenced to a fine of 600,000 rupees after being found guilty of having murdered a junior lawyer in the premises of the district court.
The district judge and the sessions Muhammad Abbas announced on Monday the verdict, concluding a five -month trial in which the accused, Rehmatullah, was found guilty of having stabbed a junior lawyer Saddam Hussain and to injure another lawyer, Akhtar Hussain Lashari, during a violent incident on December 28, 2024.
The attack occurred inside the district court complex. Saddam Hussain, the brother of the lawyer Tajammul Shabbir, died on the scene.
Lawyer Akhtar Hussain was injured in assault.
The other lawyers managed to dominate Rehmatullah on the spot and gave it to the police civil lines.
The case was recorded on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim’s uncle, lawyer Hafiz Ashiq Hussain.
Police finished his investigation and submitted the accusation of accusation without delay. The trial was conducted under the supervision of judge Abbas with the accusation led by Shamshad Ahmed Qureshi.
After hearing the case, the court sentenced Rehmatullah to death for murder and inflicted a fine of 500,000 rupees in compensation to the victim’s family.
For the injury caused to defend Akhtar Hussain, the convicted person received a sentence of five years in prison and 100,000 additional rupees.
The non-payment of the fine will result in an additional six months of imprisonment.
After the verdict, Rehmatullah was transferred to the central prison.
