Rawalpindi:
Unleashing themselves to the Adiala prison administration for refusing to allow the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) to meet the founder of the Imran Khan Party Despite a court order, party leaders accused the leaders of the court. They urged the judiciary to maintain its credibility and dignity by guaranteeing respect for its decisions.
Addressing the media outside the Adiala prison, the head of the opposition to the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan, sentenced the prison administration for ignoring the law and the Constitution. He alleged that if visitors meeting sentenced criminals were accommodated in the reception center, PTI leaders were forced to wait outside.
Ayub stressed that paragraph 7 of the court order explicitly stipulates that the prison superintendent must provide meetings with Imran Khan. “We waited four hours outside the Adiala prison, repeatedly informing the administration, but the Superintendent refused to let us enter the colonel of an intelligence agency,” he said.
He criticized the intelligence agencies for not responding to security problems in Balutchistan while interfering in political matters. “Their duty is to fight terrorism, but the people of Balutchistan cannot move freely due to security threats. This is an intelligence failure,” said Ayub.
The head of the PTI, Shibli Faraz, also denounced the challenge of the prison administration, calling it as flagrant contempt of the court. “Not allowing us to meet Imran Khan is not only our insult; it is a direct violation of the court order,” he said.
Senator Allama Raja Abbas Nasir alleged that the country was deliberately pushed into the troubles. “To deny someone their rights is an injustice. The whole system is built on oppression, but we will not abandon or abandon our cause,” he promised.
Sunni Ittehad’s council head, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, noted sarcastically that the three judges of the largest bench should be “congratulated” for the respect shown to their decision by the prison administration. “We will not let this problem be dismissed. It is alarming that the prison superintendent and a colonel hold more power than the judiciary,” he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the founder of the PTI, Niaz Ullah Niazi, condemned the actions of the prison administration, calling them a serious challenge to the judicial authority. “By defying the court order, they have raised a major questioning point on the credibility of the judiciary. We will submit an outrage in the Court,” he said, adding that Imran Khan remains an essential figure for the future of Pakistan.
