George RR Martin, the creator of Game of Thrones, said he liked the last DC on Superman.
On his blog, where the author generally shares his opinions, he writes: “Supes and I are old friends, and it is one of the best films of Superman for a long time … maybe ever.”
He continues: “This new Superman reminds me of the version I read when I was a child, the strange visitor of another planet that came to earth with powers and capacities far beyond those of mortals.”
“(And yes, an innocent, of course, he has always been an immigrant. And an illegal immigrant, when you stop to think about it). The film looks great, and James Gunn did an excellent job with the cast,” adds the actor.
On the stars of the film, George has only positive things to share. “Rachel Brosnahan was great like Lois Lane; I would say that it is between her and Margot Kidder for the best laws of all time.
He notes: “And there is no doubt for the best Lex. Nicholas Hoult was by far the best luthor of all time, a really scary villain.”
“The child with the cape (David Corenswet) was also excellent. I hope he can play Kal-El in a dozen films,” concludes George.
