The daughter of Malcolm-Jamal Warner, 8, was saved by another surfer when they drowned in Costa Rica.
The 54 -year -old actor, who died of asphyxiation on Sunday, received 45 minutes from RCR after he and his daughter were put in safety.
The police said ABC News That the surfers noticed that Warner and his daughter struggled in the water and immediately plunged to save them.
One of the surfers was able to draw the girl from Warner safe using her surf board, while a voluntary rescuer and another surfer worked together to bring Warner to the ground. Walter could not be saved despite the efforts.
Dr. Mauricio Sonalo Corella, medical director of the Talamanca health district, confirmed Wednesday that the man who had helped Warner had been treated and released without complications.
The Costaricaise Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) finished Warner’s autopsy on Tuesday, judging his death of accidental drowning.
Warner was on vacation with his wife and daughter in the seaside town of Cocles in the province of Limón when he was surfing.
