Jeff Sperbeck, the longtime agent, trading partner and friend of John Elway, died after being involved in a serious accident involving a golf cart. Sperbeck was 62 years old.
Elway, a former quarter of Denver Broncos, would have driven the motorized vehicle at the time of the fatal accident.
The Coroner of the County of Riverside (California) confirmed that Sperbeck died on April 30 at the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. The injury had occurred four days earlier in the neighbor of the Quinta.

On Friday, the Coroner office ruled on the death of accidental sperbeck and said that he died of a head trauma. “The cause of death is” a blunt head trauma “and the mode of death is” accident “,” said the Coroner office in the statement obtained by the Denver Post.

Last week, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco clearly said that the investigators had found “nothing” to suggest that criminal activities had taken place during the incident. “It seems to be a horrible accident,” said Bianco to the post, noting that a “couple” of the people involved in the incident “happen to be very publicized celebrities,” Bianco told Denver Post.
“And that makes it more a problem it should probably be,” said Bianco at the time, noting that his department had received a “massive media investigation” after the announcement of the news. “We are doing everything we can to make sure that is what it seems, and just an accident,” he added.

Elway published a statement on April 30 saying that he had been “broken heart”.
“I am absolutely devastated and my heart broken by the death of my close friend, trading partner and agent Jeff Sperbeck,” Elway said in a statement, via ESPN. “There are no words to really express the deep sadness that I feel with the sudden loss of someone who meant so much for me.”
Elway won two Super Bowls with broncos and was inducted into the temple of professional football renown in 2004.
