The demand for butchers and charges increases

Islamabad:

With Eidul Azha within a week, the demand for butchers in the capital has increased considerably, driven by the planned increase in the massacre of sacrificial animals during the Islamic festival.

While some residents have already bought their animals, many are still looking for appropriate cattle. In this context, the role of butchers has become crucial in ensuring a slaughter and an appropriate meat preparation.

Due to their high demand and their limited availability, professional butchers have increased their service costs compared to last year.

Khawar Shehzad, a butcher who also runs a meat shop in Islamabad sector, said that Eidul Azha is a special Islamic festival after the slaughter of animals at a mass level, stressing that everyone was looking for professional butchers to chop their meat, which has aroused high demand.

“Everyone is looking for a professional and qualified butcher on Eidul Azha to ensure a quality cup of meat-it’s our high season,” he said.

Shehzad shared its slaughter rates for this year, noting that cow slaughter on the first day of Eid is at RS25,000, while the rate falls to Rs20,000 on the second day. On the third day, the costs are between 15,000 rupees and 18,000 rupees, according to demand.

The loads for the sacrifices of goat and sheep vary from 6,000 rupees to 7,000 rupees, he added.

While residents of the territory of the capital Islamabad (ICT) are impatiently preparing for Eidul Azha, many have expressed concerns about the outbreak of prices of sacrificial animals and the high costs billed by butchers.

Tariq Mahmood, a resident of the same sector who bought his animal on Eid, said that he was trying to obtain the reservation of a professional butcher for his preparation of meat, which has high prices and high demand, adding: “If I cannot book one, I will go with a season of season.”

According to Tariq, seasonal butchers are more or less effective and qualified, sharing the experience of its previous year.

Despite the fact that the demand for professional and qualified butchers is notably raised, people somehow manage to find an appropriate person to sacrifice their animal.

To help meet growing demand, many butchers from all over the country also go to Islamabad during Eid. These visitors who often charge a little less and provide a practical solution to the shortage of skilled labor in the city. Their presence also gave them the opportunity to improve their earnings more than they generally have in their natal cities.
