The world of university football saw the first standard due to zero negotiations in Tennessee with the quarter-Arrière Nico Iiamaleava, which led a lot to speculate which was right and bad in the first dilemma of its kind.
Add the former University Football Coach Urban Meyer to this mixture.
Meyer discussed it on his podcast “The Triple Option”. And no, it is not everything for Tennessee and the head coach Josh Heupel to make a position and not to give in to the Nile of Iamaleava requests.
“Here is reality – Tennessee is screwed,” said Meyer. “They had a problem. You lose a choice of potential draft. You have a quarter-backing last year, and now you have a red shirt recruit which has launched nine passes in the first year. You have no experience, and the portal opens while we are talking. They will have to get one.”

The same Iamaleava transfer portal is heading to the moment when Tennessee should look for a new potential starter before the 2025 season. Heupel and his program did not expect to be in this position, but he sent a severe message when he asked him questions about the quarterm of the quarter-Arrière in which he finds himself.
“It is the state of university football,” Heupel told Network flight on Saturday. “In the end, no one is never bigger than the program. It also includes me.

“We have the opportunity. We have a bunch of guys who will give everything for Tennessee. We are moving forward. I have a large group. Let’s go and compete.”
As Meyer mentioned, Iamaleava should be a first -round talent before the draft of the NFL 2026. He wanted to renegotiate his 10 million dollars agreement with thefts, which lasted several years, according to ESPN.
The gap between the quarter-arre and the team was irreconcilable, and Tennessee said it when Iamaleava was left from the spring list.
Many have congratulated Tennessee for his position, which included the Miami Hurricanes head coach, Mario Cristobal, who clearly told his own program that Nil Holdouts would not be tolerated.

“We are not going to do it in Miami, and I say that without any hesitation,” he said during the Spring Game of the Hurricanes, according to the Sun-Setinal. “If someone thinks – and they could be the best player in the world – if they want to play Holdout, they could play out.”
Meyer, however, thinks that fans will forget the position of Tennessee if he does not win. After all, Iamaleava led the team at the university football playoffs last season.
“Everyone says:” Beautiful tensee work, making position. “I have a little comment on this subject.
Meyer said he didn’t have the right answer for Tennessee now that he separated with Iamaleava. But as a person who has seen almost everything in university football, he cannot believe the situation today.

“Me, as a guy who was involved almost 40 years in this match, I cannot believe that it happened,” he said.
Iamaleava was linked to Oregon as a possible destination, in several reports.
