- Samsung Galaxy S22 devices received a user interface 7 before the calendar
- This suggests that the deployment of Samsung software takes place more easily
- We start to learn what features these older devices will receive
The deployment of Samsung of One 7 was far from ideal, to do it slightly, but things seem to be back on the right track because Samsung smartphones seem to receive their features before the scheduled date.
Its deployment of April on older Samsung devices (apart from beta) has already felt late – in particular by considering the Android 16 showcase from Google I / O (One UI 7 is based on Android 15) in only a few weeks on May 20 and 21 – and which was only aggravated by the discovery of a serious bug which caused additional delays to the release of Samsung software.
Since then, a fix has been found and the software update has continued, and better still, it is reported (via Sammyguru) which is as old as the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are starting to receive a UI 7 in South Korea.
This is notable because Samsung said that these older Korean phones would not see the update for a while in May, which means that we are not only back on the right track, but in advance on the calendar.
We may still have to wait a little longer that the same phones get a 7-market user interface on other markets, but it is a clear sign that we (fortunately) should not wait too long to get the update based on Android 15.
But what will it bring to these older and not S25 devices?
What will an IU 7 look like on older phones?
With a user interface 7 now appearing on Galaxy S25 more non -Samsung devices, it is much clearer what features these devices will get – and what features they lack.
The features of Galaxy AI like Now Brief are and Audio Eraser, expected, are absent, but older phones seem to obtain an attenuated version of Now Bar (the version of Samsung from the dynamic island of the iPhone), although what has been shown so far, it is mainly like a glorified media control bar.
They receive the various cosmetic changes from a user interface, such as improving the application of the application screen, upgraded icons, such as the phone battery and new game booster commands so that you can personalize your experience for different titles.
We also expect to see some useful tools for productivity, security and camera on older phones, based on this complete overview of each feature of the Samsung user interface itself.
As more devices receive the update, we should obtain a clearer image of what the features of the user interface 7 will be available universally, and with Samsung which had ahead of its deployment program, it should not take much more time to have access to the improved tools that we obtain.
