Landi Kotal:
The illegally residing expulsion process of Afghans continued at the border crossing of Thetorkhan in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Khyberk District.
Official sources have told L’Express PK Press Club that deportations were carried out after completing the necessary legal procedures.
According to immigration sources, 1,234 undocumented Afghans were expelled on Sunday. Among those who arrived at the Landi Kotal public transport camp, 634 were found residing without any documentation, while 272 were holders of Afghan citizen cards (ACC).
In addition, 328 Afghan nationals arrested in various Punjab districts were transferred to the Torkham border. After the completion of legal proceedings, they were also expelled.
Sources of immigration indicated that a total of 58,431 Afghan refugees have been expelled since April 1.
It can be remembered that on March 17, Pakistan rejected a request from the Afghan Taliban for an extension of the stay of Afghan refugees.
The Afghan government was clearly informed that Islamabad would carry out its plan to expel all holders of illegal immigrants and card holders of Afghan citizens (ACC) from April 1.
