Islamabad:
On Wednesday, the National Assembly adopted a resolution strongly condemning the illegal acts of so-called killings of honor.
Moved by Shahida Rehmani, he emphasized zero tolerance for such acts and proposed the training of an interprotrovincial working group for coordinated action to limit these crimes.
The house has also reaffirmed the historic and unshakable support of Pakistan to the Palestinian people and their struggle for freedom, dignity and justice.
The resolution, moved by the PPP legislative, Shazia Marri, expressed profound about the continuous and growing Israeli military assault in Gaza, which led to the murder of civilians and the general destruction of houses and infrastructure.
He strongly condemned the recent declarations and actions of the Israeli authorities indicating plans for the long -term occupation of Gaza, the forced displacement of its population and tries to erase the Palestinian identity of the territory.
The resolution also denounced the use of famine, siege and collective sanctions as a war tools, stressing that these acts constitute war crimes under international law.
The Chamber called on the United Nations and the international community to assume their moral and legal responsibilities by taking immediate and concrete measures to end the Israeli military assault in Gaza, ensure the protection of civilians and guarantee the without hindrance of humanitarian aid. He also insisted that the occupation power was held responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and that the Palestinian people be supported in their quest for justice and self -determination.
The resolution also urged the government to continue to raise its voice for the Palestinian cause to all international forums, including the United Nations and the OIC.
In another resolution, moved by Syeda Noseen Iftikhar of PML-N, the Chamber urged the federal government to strengthen the legal framework to ensure strict punishment for unauthorized video recording, cyber-harassment and digital defamation.
He underlined the improvement of the capacity of law enforcement organizations, including digital forensic units, to investigate and respond quickly and effectively.
The Chamber also called for public awareness campaigns targeted on digital rights, legal appeals and safe reports, in addition to establishing dedicated complaints in police stations. He also recommended the introduction of educational modules on digital ethics, privacy rights and anti-harassment laws in institutions.
