- Complete camera specifications for the Google Pixel 10 series supposedly disclosed
- They point to a telephoto lens added to Pixel 10, but its other sensors are demoted
- The rest of the Pixel 10 line may not be in many camera changes
Google pixel phones generally excel in photography, but on the basis of the last leak, this may not be the case with the Pixel 10, because Google apparently exchanges the quality of the quantity with regard to the sensors of this phone.
Android Authority claims to have seen documents shared by a source inside Google which detail the specifications of the full camera of the Pixel 10 series.
The most important changes would be made on the standard Google Pixel 10, which could earn a third objective. It would be apparently the same 10.8 Mp sensor as you will find it on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold – so, like this phone, it will probably offer a 5x optical zoom, but that is not mentioned here.
However, probably to reduce the cost, these documents suggest that Google will replace the main and ultra-large sensors of the Pixel 9 with the least for the Pixel 10. More precisely, the Pixel 10 will apparently have the same 48 MP wide sensors and the Ultra-Larges 13MP sensors as the Pixel 9A, with the same selfie camera as the Pixel 9.
Note that this report lists the main sensor as being 50 MP rather than 48MP, but it is said that it is the same Samsung GN8 sensor as that used by the Pixel 9A 98 MP, we therefore assume that it will also be marketed as 48MP here.
No change for the pro and little difference for the fold
In any case, there is less change on the other models, with the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL which would have exactly the same cameras as their predecessors, which means a main sensor of 50 Mp, a 48MP ultra-laz and a 48 Mp lace (offering a 5x optical zoom).
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also detailed in this leak, but the only change of camera here is apparently a small upgrade of the Sony IMX787 (which is also used by the Pixel 8A) at the Samsung GN8 (which is also used by the Pixel 9A).
This would mean a 50 MP main sensor, joined by the same ultra-large telephoto lens of 10.5 MP, 10.8 MP (probably with a 5x optical zoom) and a pair of 10MP selfie cameras like fold Pixel 9 Pro.
We of course take all these claims with a pinch of salt, but we will probably discover with certainty what cameras that Pixel 10 phones have in August, because it is probably when they are launched.
