Rhys Thomas has a constant experience to make a blow Saturday Night Live. But when the offer came from Marvel to HawkeyeHis reaction was not unexpected.

The director continued: “What interested me in this program was that fans were not interested in Hawkeye because he has no superpowers. He is a real guy.”
“The comic strip they highlighted for me as a tonal reference was from Matt Fraction, and it was anchored in this kind of energy that it is a real guy who suffered and [who was] beaten. “”
“He made mistakes. It was really the story of an ordinary guy with a bad feeling of self-esteem,” he noted.
Rhys also recalled his reaction to the idea when presented to her, initially calling the series had not “the impression of Marvel”.
He explained: “There were no time constraints, so I was able to look [the outlines] And send my thoughts and some ideas. “”
“It was about three or four months at the start of the pandemic that I launched the show to Kevin Feige and the team and then, of course, it was wonderful, I came on board and they completely threw everything they had before and we started writing the show.”
