Rawalpindi:
A man would have killed his father and two sisters on a property dispute in a wave of sudden stabs that started in Islamabad and ended in Rawalpindi, also injuring his three -month nephew. Police arrested the suspect, Muhammad Ali, 27, and recovered the gun from the murder.
According to police, the suspect first attacked his family at their home near Taramri Chowk, Islamabad, killing his 70 -year -old father, Mahmood Hussain, and his 32 -year -old sister Shabnam Ara.
He then locked the house on the outside and went to Adiala Road, Rawalpindi, where he fatally stabbed his older sister, Anjum Ara, 35 – an employee of a department of federal government currently on maternity leave – and injured his son, Salar.
Witnesses said that Anjum fiercely resist but was under control. The suspect would also have tried to kill the baby, but the child’s grandparents intervened. In the struggle, the baby suffered a neck injury and was transported to hospital in critical condition.
The residents locked the suspect inside the house and called the police, preventing him from attacking Anjum’s husband, who had arrived at the scene.
During his arrest, the suspect admitted the two murders to Islamabad, which caused the coordination between Rawalpindi and the federal police. Two separate FIRs will be recorded – one at the Shehzad Town police station in Islamabad and the other at the Saddar Beruni police station in Rawalpindi.
“The murders related to the land dispute”
Police said the reason seems to be a long -standing dispute because the father would have intended to transfer his property to his daughters, causing frequent quarrels. The suspect, single and living with his father, has two other brothers who live separately with their families.
Meanwhile, the SSP Raza Tanveer Supra investigation visited the crime scene on Adiala Road, according to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson. Sho Saddar Beruni was also present, he added.
Police received information in the afternoon on a murder in Habib Line, Adiala Road. The SSP’s investigation said local police had immediately reached the place and placed the suspect in police custody.
According to the SSP, the suspect had killed his sister, Anjum Zahra, and injured his nephew in infants with a sharp weapon. During the initial interrogation, the suspect revealed that earlier the same day, he also murdered his father and another sister in Islamabad.
Preliminary surveys suggest that murders have been linked to a real estate dispute. The SSP said that evidence had been collected at crime, while additional surveys were underway.
