Despite the reopening of Pakistan’s airspace following a cease-fire agreement with India, domestic and international flight operations remained disrupted on Monday at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore.

Among the transporters affected, the Saudi airlines have canceled several flights on the Lahore – Jeddah road, including the flights SV733, SV737, SV739 and SV3735. Jazeera Airways has suspended its Kuwait-Lahore J9 501 and J9 502 flights, while Srulankan Airlines interrupted UL153 and Ul154 flight operations between Colombo and Lahore, Express News reported.

Airport managers have urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for the most recent information concerning schedules and relocations.

On the other hand, the operations of the Jinnah international airport in Karachi returned to normal.

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) announced on Saturday that the country’s airspace had been fully reopened for all flight categories. This decision follows a cease-fire agreement between Pakistan and India after several days of military climbing.

The announcement occurred shortly after US President Donald Trump said the two countries had accepted a “full and immediate ceasefire” after four days of cross-border strikes targeting military facilities.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar confirmed that the two nations had agreed to implement the ceasefire with immediate effect. The Ministry of India for external affairs has also affirmed the agreement.
