- South Park season 28 episode 5, titled “The Crap Out,” now available on Paramount+
- Confirms Trump and Satan’s Antichrist Baby Died in the Womb
- The creators want us to make a Christmas miracle…right?
Decorate the hallways with branches of…Trump? THE South Park The finale of season 28 shows us the American president himself dressed as Santa Claus, with a bell to heckle passers-by in the street.
In the final episodes, Vice President JD Vance and American venture capitalist Peter Thiel worked together to try to kill him. Vance did his best to get into Trump’s shoes, which included a scene you’ll never want to see again in Episode 3.
However, Vance and Thiel get their wish two episodes later, and the end of South Park Episode 5 of season 28 is offered to us with caution. It’s a Christmas miracle, but are we really safe?
Opinion: I choose to see the good in the ending of episode 5 of season 28 of South Park
Clearly, Vance’s persuasion techniques worked, as Trump joins Vance in trying to stop the Antichrist prophecy while Satan goes to work. Once we arrive at the hospital, the doctors tell us that the baby committed suicide in the womb, setting off a downward media spiral fully convinced that the impossible can become possible.
Trump considers all of this a personal victory, but there is much more. We later find out that Trump and Vance really have been together the whole time behind Satan’s back, even though it initially seemed like their moment of intimacy was nothing more than a conspiracy. Well, most of it is politics, but you know what I mean.
None of these sentences are things I would have thought to write in my lifetime, but they are South ParkIt is the moral conclusion implied here that is most important. The creators challenge us to view the death of an Antichrist as a Christmas victory, but it’s equally naive to think that anyone is truly out of the woods.
Despite this, I will consider a victory a victory. South ParkTrump’s continued parody this year has been as scathing as it is frighteningly accurate, and there’s only so much one person can take.
Frankly, I’m clinging to the small window of hope that things can calm down until we see South Park season 29 (whenever that may be). Or, failing that, at least until the new year arrives.
Although season 29 is not yet confirmed, it will now need a new Trump storyline if it returns. Can it really be worse than Trump having a baby with Satan? I almost hope we won’t find out for a long time.
