Former judge of the Supreme Court and president of the missing persons committee, judge (r) FAQIR Muhammad Khokhar, died.

His family confirmed the news of his death, declaring that his funeral prayers will be offered today, January 29, after the ASR prayer.

The funeral will take place in phase 8 of the DHA (View de Park), Lahore.

It should be noted that last week, the government had informed the public that the (r) Faqir Muhammad had been appointed new president of the missing persons, replacing the judge (R) Javed Iqbal, who has been heading the committee since 2011.

On January 22, during a hearing on the cases of missing persons, the additional prosecutor general informed the Supreme Court that the government had appointed the judge (R) Fakir Muhammad as a new head of the Commission, the (R) succeeded Javed Iqbal.

Media reports indicate that at the time of his appointment, judge (r) Fakir Muhammad received treatment in a hospital in Lahore.
