A massive explosion occurred in a fuel truck near the truck stand in the Balutchistan Noshki district on Monday, after a fire that broke out on the scene. The explosion caused serious injuries to more than 40 people, many of whom were seriously burned, Express News reported.

According to information, the incident took place when efforts were underway to control the fire, which had started in an oil tanker at the truck stand. Fire control vehicles and rescue teams were sent to the scene, but while they were trying to turn off the fire, a fire also broke out in a fire truck.

Rescue sources have confirmed that several people had been seriously burned in the explosion and were immediately transported to hospitals for medical care. Hospital officials said that after receiving initial treatment, more critical injured people would be transported by plane to Quetta for other care.

The district administration has published a statement confirming that more than 40 people had been injured in the explosion. The declaration explained that the incident occurred while efforts were underway to control the fire that had swallowed up the fuel tank of the petroleum parked at the stand.

The authorities also said that firefighters had suffered serious burns because they were close to the explosion.

In addition, four police officers who were present to evacuate civilians from the region were also seriously burned. People who were near the oil tanker would have suffered burns to 70 to 80% of their bodies.

District administration has also said that the people most injured by criticism would be transported by plane to Quetta by helicopter for specialized medical treatment.

The authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and the subsequent explosion.
