Several users on social networks circulate an alleged government of Pakistani document saying that a radiation leak has occurred in Pakistan following a recent conflict with India.
The complaint is false. The letter is manufactured.
Claim
A document dated May 13, issued by the Pakistani ministry for climate change and environmental coordination, has become viral on social networks.
Entitled “Radiological Security Bulletin”, he claims that the government, through the National Radiological Safety Division (NRSD), has detected a radiation leak on an approved industrial site located in the “North Administrative Zone”.
According to the document, the incident occurred on May 11, 2025, at “around 24 h 55” during the maintenance of the radiological equipment used for non -destructive tests (NDT). He details the event and the actions taken by the managers to contain the situation.

The document broadcast online is self-managed, confirmed the spokesperson for the Pakistani ministry for climate change. This fact was also verified independently by De facto check.
Muhammad Saleem, spokesperson for the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination in Islamabad, said De facto check On the phone, the document was “false”.
“He is downright false in all forms and demonstrations,” said Saleem, “there is not such a letter issued by our ministry.”
Separately, an independent review of De facto check have also found several red flags which confirm that the document is not official.
Words such as “industrial radiological” are poorly spelled as “industrialists”, “routine” appear as “toutine” and “the team” is written as “Leam”, among other errors.
In addition, the hour of the incident is indicated as “24:55”, which is not a valid time format and the e-mail provided in the document “[email protected]“Do not comply with the official government areas, which end with .GOV.PK.
Even attempts to contact this address resulted in a rebounded email error: “address unprepared”.

Verdict: No radiation incident of this type was confirmed by an official authority in Pakistan. The document under traffic is a counterfeit.
