The federal cabinet approved a summary to increase the wages of federal ministers, state ministers and advisers, said on Friday in Express News.
After approval, the monthly salary of federal ministers, state ministers and advisers will be Rs519,000. According to sources, the increase in wages reflects an 188% increase for these office holders.
This development comes two months after the National Assembly Finance Committee approved a proposal aimed at putting the wages and benefits of members of the Parliament (MPS) and senators in accordance with those of federal secretaries.
The decision was made unanimously by the committee under the chairmanship of President Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
