The federal government has announced that it would pay wages and pensions to government employees before Eid, with a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
According to reports, officials of the Ministry of Finance said that Eid-Ul-Fitr should fall on March 31 or April 1. Consequently, the federal government has decided to pay wages and pensions to government employees before Eid.
In accordance with the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, it was decided that government employees will receive their salary on March 27.
The notification also indicated that pensions for retirees will also be disbursed on the same day.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance sent a letter to the Controller General of Accounts concerning the payment of wages and pensions.
