Caitlin Clark made his long-awaited return to court on Wednesday afternoon, but Indiana fever did not behave well against the Golden State Valkyries.

The fever was exploded by the Valkyries, 80-61, in a match where Clark went only 4 out of 12 on the field for 10 points with six assists and five rebounds.

In front of the match, it was interesting to see how head coach Stephanie White would deploy Clark, who noted that she did not necessarily like to be on a minute restriction.

Clark made 25 minutes, while making an average of 33.3 during its first nine games. However, his time on the field may have been down due to the scoring at the end of the match.

Golden State entered the fourth quarter with a solid advance of 64-51, a large part of that due to a second quarter of 20-9 which created a large half-time deficit for Indiana.

When the fever could not return to the game, Clark was removed with still minutes to play, and she never saw the ground again.

Anyway, it was not the best game in the whole fever, because Kelsey Mitchell, a counterpart of the Clark guard, went 3 for 13 on the ground. And she was not the only one to have trouble, because the fever only drew 30.9% (21 for 68) from the team to team.

The Valkyries were not much better, going to just 26 for 70 from the floor, but Veronica Burton and All-Star Kayla Thornton made money when it counted the most.

Burton led the match with 21 points, while transporting eight rebounds and placing six assists. She was in cash beyond the arc, hitting all her six three-point attempts except one.

Thornton did not have the best shooting match (4-in-15), but she was able to win 18 points thanks to four three-point achievements and six free throws.

The fever will seek to return to the column of victories against a tough opponent in the dream of Atlanta Friday evening at home. The dream is 12-7 over the year, while Indiana fell to 9-10.
