Indiana fever had to make some improvements in the list to compete for a WNBA championship and give Caitlin Clark Extra Firepower on both sides of the ball.
The team did that exactly.

The fever re-signed Kelsey Mitchell, acquired Sophie Cunningham from Phoenix Mercury and added Natasha Howard, Dewanna Bonner and Sydney Colson. In an offseason that saw the AS of Las Vegas exchange Kelsey Plum with the sparks of Los Angeles, the fever may have made some of the most acute movements that have been passed under the radar.
“I was able to work with DB. Like some off -season leagues and stuff abroad end a little, many of them will start recovering and I think it will be very fun to get into the gymnasium and be With my teammates and just start to assemble the parts and see what works or what does not work, “said Clark at the Bonner introductory press conference, via CBS Sports. “But I think we are going to have a lot of different options to do a lot of different things. I think that’s what is super exciting.”

Clark, Mitchell and Aliyah Boston shone in the 2024 season. Clark won the prize for the recruit of the year and received MVP votes. Mitchell was an All-Star for the second consecutive season. Boston was also a star for the second time and gained momentum after his recruit year.
Add players with an experience in playoffs and a Stephanie White coach, who has led to Connecticut Sun in the past two seasons at at least 27 wins, and fever has become great suitors for the WNBA title in 2025 .
Bonner is an All-Star six times and twice a full WNBA champion. Nor is she the type to be intimidated or playing with it, because she turned out to support her teammates, whatever the team she plays. She proved that in the playoffs last season when she and Clark had a spit in play.
“I think these are only two competitive players who want to win and push their team to overcome the finish line. These are the playoffs, so emotions are high, tensions are high,” she recalls, via The Indy Star.
Bonner added that she and Clark had a good training session to build chemistry with Clark.

“I’m just here to give my leadership advice,” added Bonner. “I do not think I need to push her to be a type of player that she is not already, and I’m just happy to be here, and I hope I can give her knowledge to bring her game at a different level.
Expectations will be high for Clark and the fever of its second WnBA season.
