The FIA officers surprised taking bribes

A major touch emerged in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) survey on the illegal publication of electronic visa to Afghan nationals on Friday while two officials of the agency’s anti-human contraband cell-including a sub-unite-were allegedly stressful of childcare-brothers.

Seriously taking the question, the director general of the FIA, Raja Riffat Mukhtar, ordered the arrest of the two officials and formed a joint team of four members (JIT) to conduct an in -depth investigation.

The racket would have operated by false sponsorships and with the connivance of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Press Information Department (PID).

After the registration of an official case, the FIA arrested six people, including the information assistant Pid Nader Rahim and several Afghan nationals.

However, during the investigation, the DG FIA Raja Riffat Mukhtar received credible information that certain FIA staff involved in the survey were collutial with the suspects and facilitated them in exchange for bribes.

The DG immediately directed the director FIA Islamabad Zone, Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, to initiate a discreet internal investigation.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the agency’s anti-corruption circle in Islamabad stopped the Waseem Ahmed sub-inspector and the Aqib Mahmood gendarme of the anti-human contraband cell for corruption and corruption.

The two officers would have been surprised asking for a bridge pot of RS2 million Zubair Ahmed, one of the accused in detention in the E-visa case.

The request was made during his pre -trial detention, in exchange for providing special treatment and ensuring that he would be transferred to judicial custody instead of staying under physical dismissal.

A jit of four members has now been formed under the supervision of the Deputy Director of the FIA Anti-corruption, Nauman Khalil, to investigate the issue in a transparent and impartial manner. The other team members include Shams Khan Shams Shams, Shehryar Subspector and Gendarme Mehdi.

The JIT began his investigation by questioning the staff of the arrested FIA.

The authorities have revealed that six individuals had so far been arrested in the illegal Afghan e-visa case.

The suspects include Abdul Aziz, Ahmad Sakhi, Atif Ahmed, Nader Rahim Abbasi (a PID official), Abrar Ahmed and Zubair Ahmed. The surveys suggest that the gang explained by manipulating the documentation of sponsorship with the support of the initiates within the ministries.
