The fire engulfs the five -story plant in Landhi

The flames swallowed up a five -story factory in the Landhi export area (EPZ) in Karachi on Thursday morning, which caused the building and the injury at least three workers.

According to Rescue 1122, the workers tried to leave the building when the fire broke out and was able to evacuate with the help of the firefighters.

The president of the EPZ of Landhi told the media that the site’s own call for tenders had reached the site first, then more fire tenders had been called.

The nearby factories have also been evacuated given the fire scale.

This marks the fourth factory fire in Landhi EPZ in recent months, the most recent being in June, when a fire broke out by engulfing three factories.

At least five firefighters were injured on Sunday when he was fighting a fire that torn several factories in the Landhi export processing area in Karachi, emergency officials said.
