The fishermen drowned while the boat capsized of Port Qasim

A fishing boat carrying four men capsized outdoors near Port Qasim, leaving a dead fisherman while three others have been rescued, officials said.

According to the spokesperson for the Coastal Media Center, Kamal Shah, from Ibrahim Hyderi, the boat belonging to local fishermen encountered an accident and flowed unexpectedly.

The rescue teams managed to save three of the men, but one, identified as Captain Somar, son of Usman, aged 70, and popularly known as Osu, drowned. His body was then transferred to Jinnah hospital for a post mortem exam.

The rescued people understood the son of the deceased captain, Abid, with Ali Asghar, son of Aziz and Kabir.

The President of the Fishermen Cooperative Society, Fatima Majeed, expressed his pain in the incident and said that timely rescue efforts had prevented new loss of linked lives. She has carried out condolences to the bereaved family.

At the end of July, the body of a young fisherman, Zeeshan, was found and handed over to his family when he left the city’s coastal fishing center, Ibrahim Hyderi, in shock.

The discovery only occurred after the burial of his father, Ayub, who had drowned with other fishermen when their boat capsized near Gwadar by strong winds.

The consecutive losses have left the community of united fishermen in depth and in mourning.
