AJ McCarron led the Alabama Crimson Tide to the national consecutive championships in 2011 and 2012 and helped resume the program from his winning pathways with head coach Nick Saban.
McCarron was just as upset as all the other fan of the Alabama who had to watch the Florida State Seminoles soften the Crimson Tide on Saturday. In particular, the former quarter-arre was angry with the way some of the team’s star players competed.

“There was no passion, there was no fight, no dog, and especially guys I thought I was coming back who would show this,” he said on the podcast “The Dynasty”. “Ryan Williams, Deontae Lawson – I didn’t see this fire. I thought Deontae Lawson would be an absolute dog. He was nonexistent in this game. I’m just at the front and I like the child.
“Hell, he graduated from the same school as my children go. I have watched him for a long time. I do not know if it is slow to come back slow from the ACL, and I had it. And trust me, it is not easy. But he played slowly. He looked out of shape. He did not play with an imprudent abandonment, as I thought.”

Williams was presented as the next big university football receiver after making a name for him when he was only 17 years old. He had five captures for 30 yards against the state of Florida and was placed in a concussion protocol in the fourth quarter. He did not record at least 60 meters of reception since the team’s 24-17 defeat against Tennessee on October 19, 2024.
Lawson is the defense veteran Crimson Tide. He had four plated in defeat against the state of Florida. Last season, he had 76 plated in total, two bags and an interception.

The entire Crimson Tide program is to feel the pressure. They have a good chance to bounce back on Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe.
