Waqar Ahmad Sidhu Waqar Rights judge granted two -day pre -trial detention on the former CEO of the Rawalpindi District Authority Amanullah Cheena and the clerk Arshad Mehmood on Saturday in a corruption involving 36.58 million rupees. The two were presented to the court following their arrest by the anti-corruption establishment (ACE). The court rejected the request of the ACE investigation team for seven -day pre -trial detention and ordered the presentation of the suspects on June 25 after finishing the initial interrogation. According to the FIR, the accused caused a financial loss to the national chessboard by an alleged corruption in the supply of furniture, stationery and computer equipment. Ordinances were made to two companies – M / S Malik Traders and M / S Kamran Enterprises – which were paid in full, but underestimated the contracts contracted. The FIR details allegedly allegedly allegedly paid for 2.5 million rupees had been paid for stationery, 2.88 million rupees for furniture and 2.68 million rupees were paid for computer equipment. The anti-corruption prosecutor claimed 1.74 million furniture rupees and 1.91 million information rupees were not delivered. Defense lawyers opposed pre -trial detention, declaring that supplies were delivered in phases and that no corruption had occurred. They qualified the case as a politically motivated, saying that Aanullah Cheena, a 19th year officer, had been arrested even before the FIR’s registration – 6 p.m. after his detention. They argued that instead of physical dismissal, the accused should be sent to prison in pre -trial detention, affirming their full cooperation with the investigation. Meanwhile, the investigation extended to include eight other education officials and two presidents of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), who received an assignment with an arrest warning in the event of non-compliance. Those convened include assistant education agents Muhammad Nabeel Naqvi, Dr. Gul Ahmed and Habibullah; Senior school heads Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Sajjad; Muhammad Irfan administration agent; Director of the Government of the HudaiBiya education complex; The legal Kamran Saeed; And the presidents of Apca Raja Aftab and Irshad Ahmed. The publication of a large number of quotes to appear would have caused troubles within the Department of Education, which has prompted many officials to seek political support. According to the ACE team, all those who convened refused to testify against Amanullah Cheena or to become a tender.
