Marco Santori, the former legal director of Kraken, joined Pantera Capital as general partner of the investment team.
Santori, who left Kraken in January 2025, will focus on the expansion of the Pantera crypto portfolio, while acting as a resource for portfolio companies on regulatory compliance and strategic growth, according to a blog.
He will also continue to engage with political decision-makers to defend clear and user-friendly regulations in the United States and worldwide, said Pantera.
The advancement of Clear Crypto regulations in the United States makes it an area of interest in companies that are preparing.
Sartori, who testified before the American Congress on the subject of cryptographic regulations, is recognized to develop the framework of “SAFT” (simple agreement for future tokens), a cornerstone of sales of compliant tokens.
“I agree with a pivotal time for the crypto on the world stage. After more than a decade of work, governments have finally adopted the advantages of blockchain technology,” Sartori said in a statement. “The timing could not be better, and Pantera could not be better placed to take advantage of it.”
