Gilbert Arenas, who spent more than a decade in the NBA, was arrested on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Justice accused the former basketball star of having exploited an illegal gaming ring of a house he owned in southern California.

A federal accusation act obtained by PK Press Club Digital has shown that the arenas have been responsible for a conspiracy manager to operate an illegal game company, an operating manager of an illegal game company and another leader of false statements to federal investigators.

Arenas, nicknamed “Agent Zero”, is suspected of having rented a property in Encino, California, in order to host poker games with high issues, according to the Ministry of Justice.

The federal accusation act was filed in Los Angeles. According to the document, Arenas is accused of having asked Arthur Kats to stage illegal games. Kats would have managed rental payments for other people who would also have played a role in the operation. The officials said they had obtained text messages suspected of showing conversations between the arenas and the Kats on the details of the games in question.

One of the accused, Ievgen Krachun, was identified as the person who supervised the game because he was committed inside the home, according to the indictment. Another accused, Yevgeni Gershman, was described by the Doj as a “figure suspected of the organized crime of Israel”.

The court documents did not appoint lawyer for Arenas or the other defendants in the case on Wednesday. The co-accused are accused by MJ investigators to receive money from price pots and recruit women to “serve drinks, provide massages and offer the company” to players.

Part of the women’s income was received by the players after the services were rendered, investigators said.

The domestic arenas possessed were collected in July 2022. Investigators from the US Ministry of Internal Security seized money during the search. Arenas responded by depositing a petition with customs and the protection of American borders.

Arenas appeared for the last time in an NBA match during the 2011-12 season with Memphis’ grizzly greeks. He spent the majority of his professional basketball career with Washington Wizards. In recent years, Arenas has become best known for welcoming the “Gil’s Arena” podcast.

No lawyer was listed in court documents.
