The veteran The PPP chief and former Sindh governor, Kamal Azfar, 95, died on Monday after a prolonged disease in Karachi, confirmed Senator Waqar Mehdi.

The time and the place of his funeral prayers will be announced later, added Senator Mehdi. He said that the funeral prayers of Azfar would probably be decided after the arrival of his children from abroad.

Azfar renounced his senatorial when he was appointed governor of Sindh in 1995 by former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He was a close assistant to the founder of the PPP, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Sindh -chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed his deep sorrow and sorrow about the disappearance of Azfar and said his political services will always be memories.
