The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced on Tuesday the results of the intermediate examinations of parties I and II.
In the pre-medical group, Aleena Tariq by APS Rawalpindi obtained the first position with 1,071 points, followed by Warda Sarfraz from Scholar Science College with 1,070 points.
The third position was shared by Urooj Malik of Aps Gujranwala and Manahil Murtaza from Rasool Degree College.
In the pre-engineering group, Muzzammil Sajid of the Scholar Science College won the first position with 1,063 points.
Muhammad Sami from Kips College obtained the second with 1,059 points, while Ayesha Naeem was third with 1,054 points.
According to the board of directors, 97,928 candidates appeared in part I, of which 60,794 of which have passed. In Part II, 96,521 candidates passed the exams, 79,881 declared to succeed.
The overall percentage of success was 83.19.
The success rate in boys was 75.85%, compared to 88.91% in girls. With regard to the group, the success rate was 94.04% in pre-medical and 88.89% in pre-engineering.
Addressing the ceremony, the federal secretary of the Ministry of Education, Nadeem Mahbub, described the laudable FBise reforms and “a model for other advice”, while recognizing the weaknesses of the exam system which must still be processed.
