Sam Altman’s Blockchain Venture, World Network, enters the email game with its new feature: World Chat.
The new feature, a “mini application” accessible via the World App Wallet, will offer special features to holders of the World Network digital passport, which allows users to scan their iris in exchange for an account which checks their “proof of person”.
World Chat is the last iteration of the continuous quest for the world to help people discern robots of humans in the AI era. “By connecting to World ID, World Chat allows you to know when you chat with a verified human,” the global developer tools for humanity said in a press release at Coindesk.
Those who have not looked in the IRIS scanning orb of the world will always have access to the new cat functionality. The new messaging application takes the Apple Imessage design signals, which uses blue chat bubbles for iPhone users and green bubbles for everyone. “Conversations with the holders of the world of verified identification include a blue cat bubble as well as a global jewel of identification in the upper right corner,” said Tools for Humanity. “Conversations with unaccompanied accounts have a gray chat bubble and no gems of this type.”
The mini applications were launched in October 2024, and there were more than 250 million mini application applications in the first two months of 2025, according to Tools for Humanity.
“The global application has grown so much in the past year, we have continually heard DMS layer requests. And we think that for certain actions such as sending money, it is simply more natural and fun than going to a portfolio and sending a transaction, “said Coindesk Tiago Sada, head of tools for Humanity. “People have specifically asked for cat’s product.”
World Chat will be available on the global application for Android and iPhone iOS users from Thursday.
