- We have seen a ribbon of what the Gemini will look like on Google Home
- It comes because Google seems to have updated some iPhone early applications
- The official release date is supposed to be October 1
Google Home’s update long awaited to bring Gemini to the google smart speaker fleet with new equipment that should fall on October 1, but some lucky people already have an overview of what will happen thanks to an early application update.
This occurs via Reddit where an iPhone 16 Pro Max user (ironically obtaining the update before Android devices) shows several modifications of the user interface apparently defined to land in a few days when Google’s home update landed for everyone (via Android Authority).
The most obvious change is the provision, which has been modified significantly. Now there are three tabs at the bottom of the screen instead of five; We meet with the house, activity, automation.
The home page seems to combine the tabs of the devices and the favorites that we currently have, and adds a top house bar at the top. This will allow you to manage your Google Home configuration (such as the creation of automations or adjustment of peripheral parameters) using the same natural language as you can use with other AI chatbots.
However, as the user shows, to access these Gemini tools, you will have to recognize how Gemini could use your data.
An upgrade that is very necessary
Google Gemini has been impressing us for some time on our phones, but the lack of Gemini in its intelligent house ecosystem has been a unique frustration – because its intelligent technology feels less and less essential despite these robots feeling like the home assistants who were promised to us when smart speakers made their debut.
I am also delighted to create more auto.
I recently caught intelligent house technology like smart bulbs, but trying to design automation can be more traced than I want. This ability to create automation using natural language sounds precisely what I need, and should make technology more accessible to many people.
This update also landed while we are preparing for the launch of the Big 2025 of Amazon equipment, which should include many new devices, including smart speakers.
We will have to see how the upcoming announcements of Google and Amazon shake, but in both cases it seems that the second coming from the smart house, but for many, these updates may seem the features that smart homes should have always had.
