- Pixel 10 could support the Magsafe style load
- It comes from a freshly leakage of the phone
- Google can also launch certain “pixelsnap” accessories
We are all ready for the great unveiling of the Google Pixel 10 series on Wednesday August 20 and the leaks continue. The latest unofficial batch of images published on the web confirms an anterior rumor: Magsafe for Android arrives.
These images come from the Veteran Evan Blass timbre, as well as showing the Pixel 10 under a variety of angles, we can also see a load washer connected to the back of one of the phones – as if it were in place magnetically in place.
This apparently confirms that the Pixel 10 handsets will support the Qi2 wireless load standard, including the management of the magnets that maintain a charger in place. Some previous Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25, have adopted Qi2 but without the magnetic snap.
Of course, Apple’s Magsafe Tech has opened the way here, adding this additional magnetic key to the wireless load which means that the chargers can be set up. We can expect a variety of third -party Android accessories that now also appear.
As rumor said previously
This is not the first time that we have heard this rumor, and there have been whispers in June. Apparently Google prepares certain accessories with the brand “Pixelsnap”, which will probably work a lot like the Magsafe chargers for the iPhone.
It remains to be seen that this technology will go to other Android phones or not, but it seems likely. We know that Samsung certainly thinks, but we haven’t seen it on phones yet – including the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Although the Magsafe style load is certainly beneficial and practical for telephone users, this means that magnets must be integrated into real handsets, which can add to the mass and cost of these devices.
We will have to wait and see what Google says about this new technology when phones are launched. We have previously seen a bunch of disclosed phones, as well as the Watch 4 Pixel and the Pixel Buds 2A which should be launched at the same time.
