- A detailed leakage of the specifications suggests that the Pixel 10 Pro series could have larger batteries
- They could also have a new chipset and a slightly faster load
- But the other basic specifications could remain largely unchanged
According to the last leak, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL could be two of the most disappointing smartphones launches of the year, because it seems that little could change.
According to the big titles of Android, the main upgrade could simply be on their batteries, the Pixel 10 Pro said it had a 4,870mAh (against 4700mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro), and the Pixel 10 Pro XL apparently to have a 5200mAh one (up to 5,060mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro XL).
To accept this, the two phones will apparently have a slightly higher wired load power, at 29W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro and 39W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro XL – but this is only an increase of 2W compared to last year in both cases. The wireless load could offer up to 3W more, reaching 15 W.
Beyond that, the specifications mentioned in this leak are largely identical to those of current models. This includes the screens, which will be apparently 6.3 inches in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro and 6.8 inch for the Pro XL, both having refresh levels from 1 to 120 Hz, both having a peak brightness of 3000 nit, and both using Gorilla Glass Vict 2.
The cameras will also be apparently unchanged, the two phones sported a 50 MP primary sensor, an ultra-width of 48 MP and a 48 MP telephoto lens, with a 5x optical zoom. There would also be a frontal camera of 42 MP once again.
However, ultra-large and telephoto lens cameras may be able to take pictures of Macro this year, while current models can only use ultra-large for macro.
More power and a higher price
These phones should at least obtain a power upgrade, with this leak echoing the others by saying that they will have a new Tensor G5 chipset, as expected, but adding that they will have 16 GB of RAM again.
Finally, there is a storage mention, with the Google Pixel 10 Pro which would have the same configurations as its predecessor – namely 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. There is a slight change mentioned for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, because this phone will apparently lack an option of 128 GB, but the site speculates that it will simply be used as a means for Google to justify a price increase change.
We have already heard that the Pixel 10 Pro XL could cost more than the Pixel 9 Pro XL, so that corresponds to this, but many of the other details of this leak are new, we therefore take these specifications with a pinch of salt.
We should discover exactly what the Pixel 10 Pro series has to offer in less than two months, on August 20 being offbeat as an advertisement. I hope that by then, we will have heard more exciting leaks, because on the basis of the above, the Pixel 10 Pro line may not be worth upgraded.
