The federal government announced on Saturday an increase in RS1 per liter at the price of petrol, while the price of high -speed diesel (HSD) was maintained at the existing rate.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of gasoline has gone from RS252.63 per liter to Rs253.63 per liter, while the price of the HSD remains unchanged to Rs254.64 per liter.
The new prices will take effect from midnight and will remain in place for fifteen days.
Earlier in May, the government had maintained the prices of fuel unchanged for two weeks, but reduced the price of the HSD of RS2 per liter, in force from May 16.
