Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that institutional reforms are growing rapidly in all sectors, as part of a broader effort to eliminate corruption and fill the persistent transparency gaps.
“All government institutions work tirelessly to eliminate corruption and other shortcomings, such as lack of transparency,” said Shehbaz, presiding over a high -level meeting on the Reforms of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister ordered officials to hire internationally recognized audit firms for the third validation of the reforms under way within the FBR to ensure credibility and external responsibility.
Shehbaz has also examined the performance of the faceless customs assessment system, a key initiative launched to minimize human interference in customs processes.
He expressed his satisfaction, noting that the system had improved income collection and considerably reduced the release times.

He reaffirmed that the government’s reform program, reinforced by recent economic indicators, is proof that the country is evolving in the right direction.
Reunion officials informed the Prime Minister of Pakistan Reforms returned Automation Limited (PRAL) and announced that a simplified digital income declaration system would soon be introduced, including Ourdou features and other local languages to help the general public.
The meeting was followed by the Minister of Law and of the judge Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister of Information and Dissemination Attaullah Tarar, President of the FBR and other senior officials.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz had directed the urgent and effective implementation of ongoing reforms within the FBR, emphasizing the digitization and automation of the country’s tax system.
During a meeting, Shehbaz called for a decisive action to rectify what he described as “70 years of poor management” in the tax infrastructure of Pakistan. He reiterated that if taxpayers and honest companies would be fully supported, the people involved in the escape will be faced with firm legal consequences without exception.
Shehbaz also congratulated the FBR and its implementing weapons for their recent efforts to improve tax revenue, following the deployment of systems such as the facial without facial customs assessment.
