At least five people, including two women and two children, were killed and four children were injured in separate rain incidents while sudden floods swept Khyber-Paktunkhwa, according to Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The district authorities and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have issued a new warning warning for flashes and river floods in certain parts of the country due to moderate monsoon rains in Lourdes between July 6 and 10.
The heavy rains and the sudden floods made at least 21 lives – including 10 children – in KP since the start of the monsoon season last month. According to the PDMA, 14 of the deceased died in the Swat valley, where the sudden floods swept the families gathered near a bank.
In his latest report published on Sunday, PDMA said that five people, including a man, two women and two children, had been killed and fourth, others were injured in rainy incidents in the province.

The provincial authority said that at least one house had been completely destroyed and that three others were partially damaged due to torrential rains and flood waters. These incidents have occurred in Biner, Mohmand and Charsadda districts.
A PDMA spokesperson said the district administrations had been responsible for providing immediate assistance to affected families and guaranteeing the best possible medical care for the injured.
Flood warning issued
According to the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), the current meteorological system is powered by the humidity of the Bengal Bay and the Sea of Arabania, as well as a dominant West wave.

Strong precipitation is expected in the center and northeast of Punjab, the lower Sindh, the center of the KP, the Balutchistan, the AJK and the Gilgit-Baltistan. Industry rivers, Chenab and Kabul are likely to see an increase in water levels, with a low flood already observed in Tarbela, Kalabagh and Chashma.
Sudden floods are also feared in the tributaries of the ranges of PIR, Pirjkora, Jhelum, Chitral and the streams of the Pirjal and Kirthar pir channels, affecting in particular districts such as Awaran, Khuzdar and Jhal Many.
Residents of vulnerable areas were advised to remain vigilant, avoid flooded routes and move valuables to higher terrain. Urban administrations have been invited to ensure that drying machines are in place.
The NDMA said it was in contact with the provincial and district authorities and urged citizens to follow official opinions and to use the disaster alert application for real -time updates.
