The director general of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), Habibullah Arif, reported a remarkable increase in tourism during the three-day Eidul Azha holidays, with around 700,000 tourists visiting popular destinations through Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Expressed exclusively to a private news channel, DG Arif expressed his enthusiasm with regard to strong participation. “We are delighted to attend an answer so overwhelming tourists. The breathtaking landscapes of KP, the rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality have made it a favorite destination this year,” he said.

By breaking down the figures, ARIF noted that Swat had hosted around 288,000 visitors, Gayat saw 177,000 and Chitral and Upper Dir jointly received 100,000 tourists.

Other best spots like Naran-Kaghan and Malam Jabba also attracted large crowds, attracting visitors looking for natural beauty, adventure and cultural experiences.

“Tourists were attracted to the breathtaking landscapes of the region, outdoor activities and dynamic traditions,” he added.

The DG underlined the commitment of authority to sustainable tourism, declaring: “We focus on improving our infrastructure, improving services and providing facilities to accommodate the growing number of tourists. Our goal is to ensure that each visitor enjoys a safe and memorable experience.”

He also underlined the efforts to maintain affordability and comfort, saying: “In our available resources, we provide the supply of quality food and working to regulate the prices of food and hotel services”.

In order to diversify tourist offers, ARIF has declared that the KPCTA actively identifies hidden gems through the province and organizes tourist and adventure tourist activities to present the less known natural wonders of KP.
