- A researcher claims that data from a DOGE employee was found in four infostealer newspapers
- A security expert claims that the employee was not hacked
- Since the Waltz signal fiasco, US employee safety hygiene has been examined
A worker Dog has had his personal computer infected with the Malware infostaler on several occasions, a researcher says, suggesting that the security losses of the American government go well after the Mike Waltz signal fiasco. However, not everyone agrees with this evaluation.
As taken up by the register, recently a security researcher named Micah Lee examined the security posture of a Kyle Schutt, allegedly, allegedly a 37 -year -old “Doge Engineer”. Wired also pointed out that Schutt was “on CISA staff”.
Lee claims that Schutt’s personal computer has been compromised by infosteal malware at least four times until now, saying that they had found his data in four different infostealer newspapers.
Malventy software infostorption
“Vole newspapers are URL collections associated with user names and passwords, compiled using malicious software. If malware infects your device, it can do things like saving your keys or save everything that has entered your web browser forms – by building a list of your user names and passwords for various websites – then send this Lee to the person who controls the person who controls the Malent.
Lee also said that he did not know enough about these incidents – when they occurred, and if they occurred on Schutt staff, or the work apparatus (or a single device that makes both).
The media was quick to take over this information, but not everyone agrees with Lee’s assessment. For example, Alon Gal, CTO and co-founder of Hudson Rock, an Israeli cybersecurity company specializing in cybercrime intelligence, thinks that Schutt was not infected with malware and thinks that Lee’s search does not mean:
“I checked the data myself, and that’s not true,” Gal said in a LinkedIn article. “Since the article was picked up and has currently become viral, I thought that I will clearly indicate that Kyle Schutt was in fact not infected with malicious software,” he added.
