Karachi:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Pakistani navy for her preparation and professionalism, declaring that naval forces were fully prepared to launch an operation similar to the historic operation Dwarkka. However, the Indian Navy avoided confrontation after witnessing the proper response of the soil and the air forces of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived in Karachi on Monday for a day visit and visited the Pakistan Navy shipyard, where he met naval and staff officers.
“The Indian army, after having faced setbacks on earth and in the air, was not ready to face our naval forces. Otherwise, the Pakistani navy would have relaunched the memories of Operation Dwarka,” the Prime Minister told police and sailors.
“During the Indian misadventure, the world saw that our navy was entirely prepared. Naval weapons had been deployed and that the Pakistani navy was again ready – just like in 1965 – for Dwarkka,” he added.
The Dwarka operation remains a historical achievement in the history of the Pakistani navy. During the night of September 8, 1965, the navy executed operation Dwarkka – Codé called “Operation Somnath”. Ships including PNS Babur, Khyber, Badr, Jahangir, Alamgir, Shahjahan and Tipu Sultan launched a surprise attack on the Indian naval base in Dwarka.
The strike, which only lasted four minutes, caused significant damage, established parts of the base and disrupted the operations of the Indian navy against Karachi.
The Prime Minister said that the nation was united during the recent dead end, calling harmony among the armed forces of Pakistan a “golden chapter” in the history of the country.
